Day Five – Monday 3rd October 2011

Glorious high pressure today, awesome views above the clouds (like looking out of a plane window) but the start of the day was very cold.  Their reward was a fantastic view of Mount Meru towering up through the clouds.  It has been a tough acclimatisation day though climbing up to 4627m at Lava Tower.  The Team have suffered headaches and breathlessness, are still split into two groups but are all feeling better now they have dropped down again and arrived at Barranco Camp at 3986m.

The headaches will be worth it when you all make it to the top… will be a fantastic achievement and the very best of luck to you all. Say hello to Lucy and Claire for me!

  2. Samantha Lawson says:

Good Luck to all the Team – especially Keith Dodd. We are very proud of him! Best Wishes from his team in Gateway x
