My Challenge – David Wassell

My name is David Wassell. I am 17 years old and live in Sprotbrough Doncaster with my Mum Melanie and Brother Andrew. I am currently studying Sport Science and Photography at Danum 6th Form.

I hope to be able to take a collection of awesome photographs on my expedition to Kilimanjaro (hopefully these will impress my photography teacher so much I will get A*). I am also willing to be the team photographer for the expedition if required.

My interests are mainly outdoor activities camping, running, walking and skiing. I also love music and have a huge variety of artists and songs that influence me.

I have had a lot of support from family and friends in fundraising events, especially from my Aunty (Gillian Williams) who is also doing the Barnsley Kilimanjaro Trek 2011. To date we have done raffles, tombola’s bag packs and other events to raise funds for the trip and the Hospice.

I am really looking forward to the challenge of Kilimanjaro as I believe it will be a life changing experience a great challenge and a fantastic opportunity. The money is going to an excellent cause my Grandad who died last year received excellent care from the Hospice and I am sure that the personal achievement will be amazing.
