Inoculation

One of the obstacles to be overcome climbing Kilimanjaro, even before leaving blighty, is a fear of needles! Trekking in Tanzania requires numerous vaccinations and one trekker, Pippa Attwood, recently described how she felt like a pin cushion having had several jabs in each arm during a visit to her GP.

As a sign of camaraderie and in an effort to attract further publicity, a number of trekkers are being inoculated against Yellow fever this week. The Barnsley Chronicle kindly carried this short piece;
